Cansat de dibuixar sempre amb el mateix llàpis a les sessions d’apunts ràpids de model, he provat a dibuixar amb pincells i tinta, el resultat no mata però m’ho he passat més bé de l’habitual, serà la novetat.
Tired of using the same old pencil for my gesture drawings with a model I’ve tried drawing in inks with some brushes (brushpens, actually), the results are far from good but I’ve had a lot of fun.

What are you using hear to shade?
And if you’re saying this is far from good my friend, I must say- you are sadly mistaken. They have a very powerful, yet simplistic sensual appeal.
Thanks obigabu!
For shading, I used a watercolor brush pen, a cheap Pilot, filled with water and just a drop of black chinese ink.
Thanks roger, I love them. I’m going to give it a try. I was doing ink sketches and then painting them with heavily terpentined oil paint. These were smal sketchbook size drawings. I’ve been really wanting to get some extra large watercolor paper and do the same thing. Thanks again.
These are very beautiful.
How do you start? Do you work with pencil first on the outline? Do you start with the shading? How do you make the first strokes?
Thanks Josh.
These were the first ones I did using this technique so I’m not sure if I shaded first and then worked with the black ink or the other way around, no pencil at all though. Now I start with the shading until I have the whole body and then outline it with the black brushpen. After that, I work some more with the shadows to push my darks.
Not a bad start but i would try to round off your line drawing as women figure drawing needs to reflect the curves a female body has not just the obvious but good effort never the less
